Content

The course aims to indicate the historical-theoretical reasons that led to the emergence of bioethics; to present the general lines of the debate on meta-ethics and normative ethics in order to analyze the various theoretical perspectives of bioethics, which is a practical ethics; to propose an introduction to the main themes of bioethics. The following issues are examined: responsible parenting, abortion, assisted fertilization, cloning, the use of stem cells, informed consent, biological will, euthanasia, assisted suicide, definition of death, experimentation, enhancement and posthuman.
