The seminar proposes a presentation of the main documents of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches on social teaching (encyclicals, conciliar decisions, declarations, etc.). Τhese texts cover a wide range of themes – human person, family, ecological crisis, international community, and public health, etc. – and encourage both inter-Christian encounters and inter-disciplinary dialogue in the process of their reception by the ecclesial bodies and application to the civil society.
The seminar will thus support a contextual-thematic presentation of the Christian Social Teaching from a social science and theological viewpoint and according to an ecumenical perspective. The seminar’s program include also visits of officials of the curial dicasteries.
