Content

A historical and theological consideration of the liturgy of the Catholic Church from its origins (biblical) to the reforms of the Second Vatican Council (contemporary).  The course will include a survey of the development of the Latin liturgy in its various historical and cultural phases, and highlight its theological and pastoral dimensions, based primarily on the content of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (Sacrosanctum Concilium) of Vatican II.
