Content

This course examines, in a first part, the theology of the sacraments in general, looking at the meaning of the name and the function of sacrament and reflecting on God’s action in the sacramental event. Two issues seem to be particularly interesting: 1. Is Jesus the “primordial sacrament” of God? 2. Is the Church a basic sacrament of God’s action? In a second part the course offers a reflection on the Christian sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharistic.
