Content

This course is a sapiential reflection on question of divine transcendence that focuses on divine simplicity and divine perfection. Using various interlocutors to engage with texts principally taken from the Summa contra gentiles, bk. I, chs. 13-28 and the prima pars of the Summa theologiae qq.3-4 of St Thomas’ corpus, each class will analyse the weekly assigned reading texts to systematically present St. Thomas’ vision of a transcendental God
