Content

While St Thomas provided no systematic account of the transcendentals, his speculations provide a depth and richness to his metaphysical wisdom. This course will engage with various texts dispersed throughout his corpus to present a historical and systematic treatment of this doctrine. Each class will analyse the weekly assigned reading texts to present St. Thomas’ vision giving emphasis to St Thomas’s method, the ordering within the transcendentals and their ultimate relation to the divine.
