This course intends to familiarize the students with Thomas Aquinas’s treatment of the virtues
in the Summa theologiae. It will do so in reading the questions dedicated to this topic in the
Ia-IIae and comparing them with the Disputed questions on the virtues, when necessary. Special
attention will be given to the question of acquired moral virtues in the thought of Aquinas.
