The Joint Diploma program on the thought of Thomas Aquinas begins the 2020-2021 program with an open lecture by Prof. Vittorio Possenti. The theme of the Joint Diploma for this year is “I fondamenti della vita morale” (The Foundations of the Moral Life).
Prof. Possenti taught political philosophy at the Università Ca’ Foscari of Venice. He is a founding member of the Institut International Jacques Maritain (1974); member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences and the Pontifical Academy of St Thomas Aquinas, and for many years a member of the National Bioethics Committee (1999-2013). His publications and interests include ethics, philosophical realism, personalism, metaphysics, human rights, and the science-philosophy relationship.
The Lectio Magistralis is open to the public, and entrance is free. After the lecture, certificates from the previous year’s Joint Diploma program will be presented.
