Introduzione

History of Modern Philosophy: In this class we will study the Modern philosophy period from: Descartes to Leibniz: which deals whit the great rationalist systems of philosophy on the Continent in the pre-Kantian period (Continental Rationalism); Hobbes to Hume: the development of British philosophy (British empiricism) and Wolff to Kant (Enlightenment). History of Contemporary Philosophy: This course introduces students to the field of Contemporary Philosophy and is divided according to the philosophers, main representatives, rather than by following out the development of the one and then of the other philosophical problem. In particular, we will focus on the reading of the original philosophical texts of the main representatives also as the starting point for the open discussion in class.
