Applications Open for the St. Catherine of Siena Scholarship 2023-24
The St. Catherine of Siena Scholarship Program provides financial aid to religious sisters to study for a one-year diploma program at the Angelicum in Rome.
The Scholarship covers all academic fees and provides a generous housing stipend (€8,000), to cover the costs of room and board.
The scholars will enroll in one of three one-year diploma programs, for the 2023-24 academic year (September 2023 to June 2024):
- Diploma in Theological Studies: Wisdom and Virtue Track
Courses: Introduction to Canon Law; Introduction to the World’s Great Religions; Christian Faith, Hope and Charity; Spiritual Theology; Justice and Allied Virtues; Theology of Grace; Fundamental Moral Theology; History of the Ancient Church; Specialized Morals – Familial Issues; Spiritual Direction for Religious; Canon Law for Religious.
- Diploma in Theological Studies: Theology in Action Track
Courses: Fundamental Theology; Christian Faith, Hope and Charity; Spiritual Theology; Theology of Creation; Mystery of the Living God; Fundamental Moral Theology; Prudence, Fortitude and Temperance; Spiritual Direction for Religious; Canon Law for Religious.
- Diploma for Formators
Courses: The Pastoral of Life: Foundation and Proposal; Psychology of Personality; Education in New Languages; Intersubjective Pedagogy; Psychology of Group Relations; Vocation and Following in the New Testament; Interreligious Dialogue; Understanding Suffering in the History of Salvation; Theology of the Laity; 2 seminars.
All courses will be in English.
