Brief biography
Father Sylvain Detoc was born in 1979 in Rennes (France). He joined the Dominicans of the Province of Toulouse in 2008, after a doctorate in literature and university teaching at the Sorbonne. Since his ordination in 2015, he has studied and taught the Fathers of the Church. He has taught at the Catholic University of Lyon (2018-2020), where he obtained his doctorate in 2022. Since 2019, he has been teaching at the Catholic Institute of Toulouse, the Dominican Studium of Toulouse and the Inter-Monasteries-Studium. He is the author of several articles on ancient literature and the Fathers. He also publishes works on spirituality.
