2022 Student Summer Seminar: Aquinas, Philosophy, and Contemporary Science
July 3-6 2022

Students and young adults in Europe are invited to apply to our 2022 Student Summer Seminar: Aquinas, Philosophy, and Contemporary Science, which will be held this July 3-6 at the Angelicum in Rome.

The seminar will feature talks on Thomistic philosophy and its relation to the contemporary scientific culture in the university, pilgrimages within Rome, and fellowship with other students from across Europe.

Talks will be given by Fr. Simon Francis Gaine, OP, Fr. Mariusz Tabaczek, Fr. Thomas Davenport, OP, Jadwiga Guerrero van der Meijden, and Fr. Philip-Neri Reese, OP.

Tentative Schedule:

July 3 – Arrival, Welcome Dinner & Intro to St. Thomas

July 4 – Talks on Thomistic Philosophy and Metaphysics, afternoon pilgrimage

July 5 – Talks on Creation, Evolution, & Anthropology, afternoon pilgrimage

July 6 – Thomas in Modernity & Closing brunch

There is no cost to attend; accepted applicants will receive free meals and lodging for the duration of the conference. Participants will also be reimbursed for travel within Europe.
