A Scholarly Debate: Tabaczek and Chaberek on Theistic Evolution

The publication of a Polish translation of “Thomistic Evolution: A Catholic Approach to Understanding Evolution in the Light of Faith”, prompted a scholarly debate between Mariusz Tabaczek, OP and Michael Chaberek, OP. 

The debate was inspired by the afterword to the Polish edition of the book, written by Tabaczek. After the text received a critical evaluation by Chaberek, the Polish Annals of Philosophy, invited Tabaczek to write a response to the critique. 

Originally published in Polish, the exchange contributes to the ongoing conversation concerning the relation among Aristotelianism, Thomism, and the theory of evolution. The three texts, now available in English translation, can be found in the Winter 2024 (Vol. 22, No. 1) of Nova et Vetera.
