The Crisis of Faith and the Crisis of Morals

Professore

Course Description

The current crisis of morals within the Church – including the abuses cases– is one of the biggest challenges. What can be done? Will it be necessary to change the structure of the Church? During the long pontificate of John Paul II and Benedict XVI several answers were given, even though they weren’t always accepted and sometimes they were not even well known. Key aspects of the crisis of morals and its origins are going to be analysed, with a special emphasis on the principles of morality. This course provides an overview of the most important challenges and offers valid principles within the context of the actual challenges.
