The Eucharist in St. Thomas Aquinas

Professore

Course Description

The course will focus on Aquinas’ Eucharistic theology through a direct study of his Biblical commentaries and the Summa Theologiae. Selected references to other works of St. Thomas, such as Summa contra Gentiles, De articulis fidei et Ecclesiae sacramentis, and the Commentary on the Sentences will also be made. Dogmatic theology will represent the main standpoint of the study, but sufficient emphasis will also be reserved to the exegetical, liturgical and spiritual dimensions.
