The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Course Description

Although he is often called “the great unknown,” the Holy Spirit is constantly at work in the faithful and in the Church. His sevenfold gifts sustain the moral life of Christians and provide the foundation for mystical union with God. This seminar will allow students to explore the rich spiritual tradition of the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the biblical roots and history of this doctrine, the role of each Gift in the spiritual life, and the ways in which the Gifts are manifest in the lives of the saints.
