Course Description
This seminar examines the teachings of the Second Vatican Council on the World Religions. We look at earlier teachings and thus the debate on continuity and discontinuity. We focus on Lumen Gentium 14-16 and Nostra Aetate, exploring controversies raised by the Council teachings. We focus on Council’s teachings on the Jewish people both at and after the Council as well as the teachings on Islam and other Eastern religions.
