The Transmission of Faith Today

Professor

Course Description

More than half a century has passed since the closing of the Second Vatican Council, which was meant to bring a renewal to the faith. Within a society characterized by growing secularism, it is necessary to ask how this renewal can be realized today. In this course, the most relevant currents of thought will be analyzed in relation to the Council’s objectives. The question of hermeneutics, the interpretation of the texts of both the Council and the Church’s Tradition, are crucial elements contributing to the transmission of the faith.
