ITALIANO: Gilles Emery è uno dei teologi e tomisti domenicani più influenti del nostro tempo. Ha studiato presso istituzioni svizzere di prestigio, ottenendo il master e il baccalaureato presso l’Università di Friburgo. Ha completato il suo percorso accademico con un dottorato sotto la guida di p. Jean-Pierre Torrell, O.P. La produzione accademica di Gilles Emery è vastissima: include sette libri, cinque edizioni e coedizioni di libri, oltre a cinquantuno articoli, trentotto capitoli di opere collettive e settantadue recensioni. Ha lavorato come responsabile dell’edizione americana di Nova et Vetera e della rivista Studia Friburgensia (Academic Press, Fribourg). È membro di vari comitati editoriali e società scientifiche, tra cui la Pontificia Accademia di San Tommaso d’Aquino e l’Accademia europea delle scienze e delle arti. Gilles Emery ha contribuito notevolmente al rinnovamento del tomismo, ricollocando la teologia trinitaria tomista nel dibattito teologico contemporaneo e contestualizzando la prospettiva di San Tommaso nella storia della Dottrina. I suoi interessi scientifici spaziano dalla dottrina di Dio alla teologia della creazione e alla cristologia.

ENGLISH: Gilles Emery is one of the most influential Dominican theologians and Thomists of our time. He received his intellectual formation at prestigious Swiss institutions, obtaining his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Fribourg. He completed his academic journey with a doctorate under the guidance of Fr. Jean-Pierre Torrell, O.P. Gilles Emery’s scholarly output is extensive, comprising seven books, five editions and co-editions of books, fifty-one articles, thirty-eight chapters in collective works, and seventy-two reviews. He has served as the editor-in-chief of the American edition of Nova et Vetera and the journal Studia Friburgensia (Academic Press, Fribourg). He is a member of various editorial boards and scientific societies, including the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Gilles Emery has significantly contributed to the renewal of Thomism by repositioning Thomistic Trinitarian theology in contemporary theological discourse and by contextualizing St. Thomas’s perspective within the history of Doctrine. His scholarly interests range from the doctrine of God to the theology of creation and Christology.
