Welcome Prof. Cattoi

Prof. Thomas Cattoi has been appointed to the William and Barbara Moran Chair at the Angelicum

Professor Cattoi pursued studies in economics and philosophy at Oxford and London Universities, followed by a PhD in systematic and comparative theology at Boston College. His primary research areas encompass early Christian theology and spirituality, with a particular emphasis on the post-Chalcedonian era, Orthodox theology, and interreligious dialogue, especially exploring the interaction between Eastern Christianity and Buddhism. From 2006 to 2024, Professor Cattoi served as a faculty member at the Jesuit School of Theology at Santa Clara University and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. Presently, he occupies the William and Barbara Moran Chair in Early Christian Theology and Interreligious Relations at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
