After reading English and Drama at university, I trained as a teacher and taught English Literature and Communications in a further education college for eight years working with a range of students from vocational courses to Oxbridge entrance. Since then, alongside bringing up my children and gaining qualifications in Dramatherapy, Piano studies and Immigration law, I have worked in mental health, schools, as a Quaker prison chaplain and currently in two refugee charities as an advice case worker.

In 2022 and 2023, on accompanying my husband to take up his professorial role at the Angelicum, I returned to my earlier specialism and became involved in supporting students to improve their study and writing skills. Hence, I am very pleased to be invited to continue this work in a more formal role.
