Brief biography
Fr. Shonk entered the Order of Preachers in 2009 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2015. After finishing the S.T.L. in 2016, he served in parochial ministry for six years at St. Patrick Church in Columbus, Ohio. He began his doctoral studies at the Angelicum in the fall of 2022. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis, “Phronesis and Sanctification: A Thomistic Reception of John Henry Newman’s Theology of Conscience.”
