Fr. Justin was born on February 25th 1981 at Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Being of Maltese descent, he returned to the home country of his parents at the age of 16 whereupon he entered the Dominican Order in 1999. After completing initial formation, he was ordained a priest on July 1, 2007. After a pastoral year, he continued his studies at the Pontifical Biblical Institute completing the SS.L in 2012. He then went on to doctoral studies at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, which he defended and published in 2017/2018. After this, he began teaching scriptures at the same university in both the faculty of theology and in Mater Ecclesiae. At the moment, Fr. Justin is the head of the biblical section and subprior of the community of Saints Dominic and Sixtus. Being a son of the Maltese Dominican Province, he is also active within the province, both as the spiritual director of the Allied Health Services and as regular author within the province’s journal Knisja elfejn. His main interests are in Synoptic Studies and the relation between the OT and the NT delving in areas like the relation between creation and redemption, biblical law, and simplicity of heart.

Fr. Justin è nato il 25 febbraio 1981 a Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Essendo di origine maltese, all’età di 16 anni è tornato nel Paese dei suoi genitori ed è entrato nell’Ordine domenicano nel 1999. Dopo aver completato la formazione iniziale, è stato ordinato sacerdote il 1° luglio 2007. Dopo un anno pastorale, ha proseguito gli studi presso il Pontificio Istituto Biblico completando il SS.L nel 2012. Ha poi proseguito gli studi di dottorato presso la Pontificia Università San Tommaso d’Aquino, che ha difeso e pubblicato nel 2017/2018. In seguito, ha iniziato a insegnare Sacra Scrittura presso la stessa università, sia nella facoltà di teologia che in quella di Mater Ecclesiae. Attualmente, Fr. Justin è responsabile della sezione biblica e sottopriore della comunità dei Santi Domenico e Sisto. Essendo un figlio della Provincia domenicana maltese, è anche attivo all’interno della provincia, sia come direttore spirituale dei Allied Health Servicei sia come autore regolare della rivista della provincia Knisja elfejn. I suoi interessi principali riguardano gli studi sinottici e la relazione tra l’AT e il NT, approfondendo aree come la relazione tra creazione e redenzione, la legge biblica e la semplicità di cuore.
