Course Description
This course introduces students to prophets and prophecy in and beyond the Old Testament. We will consider the Hebrew Bible’s Prophetic corpus, as well as consider the implications of prophets and prophecy in other texts. The concentration will be on developing a historically grounded understanding of prophets, prophetic texts, and their theology.
