MTS Diploma

Diploma in Management of Third Sector Organizations and Social Enterprises

This year in its XXVI edition, it is aimed at those who intend to develop solid professional skills in the management of nonprofit organizations: people from the Third Sector world, graduates from every discipline. The formation program provides the basic elements and deeper insights into the various areas that the manager of a nonprofit organization has to deal with to effectively guide its institutional activities, in a context in which programming, structure management and networking must be treated with great care. Taking into account recent developments in the nonprofit sector both at the legislative level and in the economic context, particular attention is paid to the interrelations between communication and fundraising, in order to improve the organization’s economic efficiency and competitiveness in the realization of its social projects.

This new edition of the Course includes: 104 hours of frontal lessons and workshops, organized into 8 modules, which take place on Fridays and Saturdays (one each month) from 15:00 to 19:00 (Friday) and 9:00-13:00, 14:00-18:00 (Saturday); a round table of thematic deepening, with the participation of experts from the Third Sector; a written exam at the end of the course; optional 100 hours of internship at a Third Sector Organization.

Attendance and participation in the exams is obligatory. At the end of the course, a diploma will be issued. Auditing students may also participate: a certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course.

CSR Diploma

Diploma in CSR, Social Innovation and Sustainability

The course aims to train managers and experts who, within the public and private institutions of the country, are able to direct, guide and implement options and actions according to the principles of social innovation and sustainability, taking into account the social demands present in the territory and reference markets. To this end, it offers practical methodological and operational tools for the adoption and dissemination of sustainability practices throughout the entire life cycle of businesses and institutions.

This new edition of the program originates from the experience of the Master in Management and Corporate Social Responsibility, established at the Angelicum since 2003, which in twelve editions formed two-hundred students, workers and professionals. Two elements characterize it:

MULTIDISCIPLINARY: The complexity faced and the urgency to identify and pursue paths of sustainability (social, economic, environmental, institutional) require a multidisciplinary, integrated and flexible training that allows everyone to take advantage of their own formation, professionalism and experience to operate in an innovative and integrated manner with a view to the common good;

OPENNESS: a culture of sustainability requires the integration of different skills (the course is accessible to graduates of all backgrounds and those who already work –even non graduates– interested in deepening these topics); it must be widely disseminated and understood at all levels of institutional, professional and civic levels in the country, so that sustainable development objectives can be comprehended and pursued (the course is in the Italian language and it is open to dialogue with the areas and different circumstances of the various stakeholders involved in the processes); it must be economically viable (so as not to fall into the elite perspective of many management training offers).

The course is structured in 4-hour modules on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, where university lecturers and industry professionals alternate frontal lessons with group work and simulations. The course takes place in collaboration with the Coordination Agenda 21 Italian businesses, Confcooperative, Ethics SGR, Next and under the patronage of the Dicastery for the Integral Human Development Service.

E-CST Diploma

Online Diploma in Christian Social Thought & Contemporary Society

Faithful to the Church’s guidelines and consistent with the permanent commitment of the Dominican Order to a faith that operates with justice, the Faculty of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Dominican International University (Domuni), launched, since February 2016, a program in the Italian language for the scientific formation in the field of the Church’s social doctrine and Christian ethics, through the Moodle online platform. In addition to its normal curricular topics, special attention is paid to the most pressing problems in contemporary political and economic life. The Faculty, through this Program, intends to form students so that they can carry out in the future a qualified activity for the implementation and promotion of the Church’s social doctrine and growth of an ethical sense in the fields of politics and economics through research, teaching in Academic Institutes and in pastoral, political, economic and social action. The pedagogy adopted aims at providing the theoretical framework for those already involved in these fields; it promotes the cognitive interest of the students, and presents a fixed disciplinary program consisting of:

  • General Ethics
  • Political Ethics
  • Economic Ethics
  • The Church’s Social Doctrine
  • History of Christian Social Thinking

The courses are taught by professors from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. The Domuni Moodle platform allows everyone the opportunity to enroll, regardless of timetables, location, family or work. In this way, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Domuni offer an online learning experience that is a means of evangelization “beyond the frontier”, trying to apply evangelical principles to the multiform and troubled political and economic reality of today’s world.

E-FIX Diploma

Online Diploma in Christian Integral Education
FIX – Formazione Integrale Cristiana

In 2018 the Faculty of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Dominican International University (Domuni), launched a new program in the Italian language for the theological education of Christian workers, through the Moodle online platform. The Faculty, through this Program, intends to provide a broader view of our modern world: a religious vision, following the Thomist theological tradition, open to new sciences, in an evangelical and rationally sustainable theological framework.

The program is organized into three modules:

  • Il Dio Trinità
  • Gesù il Cristo
  • La vita nella Chiesa

The courses are taught by Dominican Professors. The Domuni Moodle platform allows everyone the opportunity to enroll, regardless of timetables, location, family or work.

E-SOC Diploma

Online Diploma in Social Ethics

In 2020 the Faculty of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Dominican International University (Domuni), launched a new program in the Italian language, aimed to develop new insight to contemporary social ethics issues. The thread that binds the reflection of the teachers is the personalist ethics of virtues, re-proposed in the Christian tradition of the enhancement of the human person. It is only with this realism, in fact, that personal ethics becomes social, that is, projected towards the enhancement of community and of common good. Where the Common Good is not thought of as an abstract and a priori category, but as realized in the Common Goods: health, safety, mobility, human rights…

The program is organized into five modules:

  • Ethics of Artificial Intelligence
  • Human Rights
  • Ethics and Migration policy
  • Care Ethics (available from June 2020)
  • Ethics and Ecology (available from June 2020)

The courses are taught by Dominican Professors. The Domuni Moodle platform allows everyone the opportunity to enroll, regardless of timetables, location, family or work.
