Academic address by His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk for the Inauguration of the Academic Year
On 19 October 2022, after the Mass of the Holy Spirit, the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas gathered in the university’s Aula Magna for an academic address by Angelicum alumnus, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (Major Archbishop of Kyiv-Halyč). The Archbishop shared his heartfelt experience of the war in Ukraine, that has brought “death, destruction and much suffering to our land.”
