ANNOUNCING: Dominicans as Defensores Fidei – 2021 Val McInnes Address (virtual / “in-presence”)
With great joy, the International Dominican Foundation together with the Angelicum announce the annual Val McInnes Address with the 2020-21 chair-holder, Fr. Serge-Thomas Bonino OP, President of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and Dean of Angelicum’s Philosophy faculty. Fr. Bonino is a friar of the Dominican Province of Toulouse. This year’s event coincides with the Dominican Order’s 800th Jubilee of the Death of St. Dominic, founder of the Order of Preachers.
The free event, in the English language, includes simultaneous “in person” and livestream participation via the Angelicum’s YouTube channel on Saturday 15 May at 5PM Rome time / 11AM EST. The lecture, which usually includes an adjoining “Donor Homecoming” will be scaled back to only the lecture this year. It will take place in Aula 11 where Fr. Karol Wojtyla defended his doctoral dissertation.
The Rector will open the event with a word of welcome and the Director of Development and Mission Advancement will close the event with a word of thanks.
