A short discussion concerning the place of these Writings within the New Testament canon and their use in early Christianity. Literary genre and style, structure, addressees, purpose, place of composition, date, authorship, and the main themes. Gospel of John: its peculiarities in comparison to Synoptic Gospels; The affinities of the three Epistles with the Gospel of John. The Apocalypses, in the context of the Jewish apocalyptic literature. Aspects of theology, Christology, ecclesiology, as well as the use of the Old Testament in each Johannine writing.
