Dr. Kristin Popik Burns (1950-2019)
Angelicum alumnus and founding faculty member of Christendom College and former dean of the college’s graduate school, Dr. Kristin Popik Burns, died on the evening of April 1, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. She earned her PhD in Philosophy from the Angelicum in 1978 and it is believed she was the first woman to do so. She was thus a pioneer in multiple respects.
