Dear Angelicum family-

As you are aware, one of our professors thought he had COVID at the end of last week.

We are happy to inform you that the professor has been tested twice and both tests came back negative.  We are grateful that he does not have COVID and also that he handled the situation so well.

This was indeed the best case scenario all the way around.  The professor followed the guidelines exactly. If he had tested positive, his actions would certainly have minimized the spread of the virus. He wore his mask the entire time he was on campus, and he kept the proper social distancing from others.  Additionally, his prompt communication to us, allowed us to assess the situation and make a decision in the interest of the health and safety of all our Angelicum students, faculty and staff.

Also a friendly reminder – please disinfect your classroom desk before and after class.  This will help minimize the spread of germs. Please make sure to wear a face mask while on campus, wash your hands frequently, keep a one meter social distance from others and do not come to school if you have any symptoms of COVID.  Thank you for helping keep everyone healthy.

in Christ,

Sr. Maria Silva, OP
