ANNOUNCEMENT

The lecture “Political Theology from St. Thomas Aquinas to John Paul II and Benedict XVI” will be concerned with the evolution of the Catholic philosophy of politics as a field closely related to theology and social teachings of the Church. The starting point will be the reflection on the political theology of St. Thomas Aquinas, who systematized the earlier achievements of Christian and ancient thought in this field and significantly influenced its further development. Prof. Daguet will demonstrate how they were developed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI, proving their relevance in today’s world.
