A Synodal Process on Synodality (2021-2024) has been initiated by Pope Francis in the Catholic Church.

PRO ORIENTE and the INSTITUTE FOR ECUMENICAL STUDIES of the Angelicum are contributing to this process by organizing international conferences in Rome with the purpose of knowing the synodal traditions from the different Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches.

These conferences, entitled “LISTENING TO THE EAST” will take place at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), in Rome in November 2022.
