Fr. Michal Paluch named Magister in Sacra Theologia by the Order of Preachers

Fr. Michal Paluch, professor of Theology at the Angelicum, received the degree of Magister in Sacra Theologia from the Order of Preachers.

The title of Magister in Sacra Theologia was created in 1303 by Pope Benedict XI and is conferred on those considered the most erudite in the Order of Preachers.

The conditions to be fulfilled are to have taught full-time for at least ten years to students at the master’s level and to have published at least one peer-reviewed work in international journals as well as several articles in academic journals reviewed by a reading committee.

Only a friar with these qualifications may then be appointed by the prior provincial and the council of his province.

The conferring of this title on our Rector Emeritus and Professor, fr. Michal Paluch OP, fills us with joy and we wish him all the best in his work and studies.

Congratulations on behalf of the entire Angelicum community.
