Introduzione

The general theme of the course is the nature of logic and philosophical-scientific knowledge. The course proposes an analysis of the role of logic in the acquisition of knowledge. Programme 1. Introduction to Logic and its types 2. Concepts and Terms: Their classification. 3. Problem of Universals: Moderate Realism. 4. Many natures in one individual. 5. Predicables 6. Analogy and its types 7. States of the mind relative to truth 8. The intellect and truth 9. Doctrines related to Truth and Certainty: Scepticism, Relativism, Idealism 10. Doctrine of Realism 11. First principles of Knowledge 12. The existence of the individual knowing subject 13. The existence of the extra-mental corporeal world 14. Truth and Error 15. Ultimate criterion of truth.
