Our Alumnus, Fr. Erik Pohlmeier, is the new Bishop of St. Augustine, Florida
The Vatican has announced that Pope Francis the appointment of our alumnus Father Erik Pohlmeier, the next bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine in Florida. For the past 24 years, Bishop-elect Pohlmeier has served as a pastor in the Diocese of Little Rock, which encompasses the entire state of Arkansas.
Fr. Erik studied spirituality at the Angelicum in 1997-1998.
The entire Angelicum community wishes Fr. Erik all the best in his new assignment.
