This course is a continuation of Latin 5, and will focus on the translation of philosophical texts of St. Thomas Aquinas. Other texts from the Middle Ages, including texts in Medieval canon law, may also be considered.

Students will be evaluated by two written examinations, one to be held towards the middle of the semester, the second during the exam period at the end of the semester. Translations in class may be given in English or Italian. Written work may be in English, Italian, Spanish, or French.

Questo corso è una continuazione di Latino 5, e si baserà sulla traduzione dei testi filosofici di San Tommaso d’Aquino. Altri testi dal Medioevo, tra cui testi di diritto canonico medievale, si possono essere esaminati.

Gli studenti saranno valutati da due prove scritte, una che si terrà verso la metà del semestre, il secondo durante il periodo di esami alla fine del semestre. Traduzioni in classe si possono presentare sia in italiano sia in inglese. Per i lavori scritti, si possono sottoporre in italiano, inglese, spagnolo, o francese.
