Fides et Ratio
Prof. Serge-Thomas Bonino, O.P., Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Secretary General of the International Theological Commission, speaks on the XX anniversary of Fides et ratio(Faith and Reason). The encyclical was promulgated by Angelicum alumnus St. Pope John Paul II on 14 September 1998.
H.E. Georges Cardinal Cottier, O.P. (R.I.P.), Theologian emeritus of the Pontifical Household and later Cardinal-Deacon of Santi Domenico e Sisto the University Church of the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Angelicum, was influential in drafting the encyclical. The encyclical primarily addresses the relationship between faith and reason.
